Available months and cities

SEP in Norway lasts from June to September. A full month is not required. Exchanges will take place in Bergen (the second largest city in Norway) on the western coast of Norway.

Type accommodation

The housing will have to be sorted out privately with Airbnb or hotels. The cost would be around 700-1500 NOK a night.

Board, pocket money or other financial benefits/remuneration

Norway is expensive in general. You should expect to spend around 3000-4000 NOK for food and travelling within the city for a month.

Language requirements

English is mandatory. Pharmacy in Norway is very multicultural, therefor there are opportunities to meet with students who converse in more languages than Norwegian and English, such as; Arabic, Chinese, Serbian/Bosnian, Kurdish, etc.

Other requirements

The students should at least have finished their first year at the university. A CV and motivational letter must be submitted to the SEO.

Information on Work Permits and Visa

Norway is a part of an agreement with the EU. Every citizen of the EU/EØS does not need a visa to enter the country. The SEO should be informed in time if a student needs visa documents. The students coming from countries outside the EU/EØS, should contact their embassies for more information.

Selection Procedures

The deadline is the 1st of February. The SEO and the host will choose the students. The SEO will choose some of the applicants and forward the chosen applications to the host. Then it’s up to the host to confirm/deny the application.
