Length of training periods

Around 3–4 weeks; students gain practical experience while having flexibility to participate in cultural activities. For each field, hospital pharmacy, industrial placements, and university research range from 3 to 4 weeks depending on the project and host site.

Type accommodation

Type of Accommodation: University hostels, paid by the student (approximately USD 420–480 for the exchange period), with a possible $100 deposit fee. Additionally, private hotel accommodation may be arranged at a subsidized rate of around (~USD 25) per day if required.

Board, pocket money or other financial benefits/remuneration

Meals are included in the university hostel accommodation. Spending money is not provided by the host association. Students should budget for personal expenses, local travel, and social or cultural activities, approximately USD 10–15 per day additional expenses

Information on Work Permits and Visa

Visa & Work Permit: Short-term Student/Internship Visa required; apply 4–6 weeks in advance; costs USD 10–100 depending on nationality; documents needed: passport, Invitation Letter from SEO, AF & WoL, photos, proof of financial means. Health Insurance: Mandatory for entire stay; students must provide proof. Vaccinations: Up-to-date routine vaccines (MMR, DTP, Polio, Varicella, Influenza); recommended: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Japanese Encephalitis (if rural/long-term), Rabies (if animal exposure), COVID-19 as per guidelines. Additional Documents: Completed visa application form; any embassy-specific forms; guidance and verification provided by SEO. Selection Procedures

Deadline to apply: Applications must be submitted by end of June for exchanges in August and by end of December for exchanges in February .
