- Visiting Program
A comprehensive 2-week program designed to provide insights into Korean pharmaceutical system through visits to various institutions, combined with immersive cultural exchange activities.
• Community Pharmacy: Experience Korean local pharmacy systems and patient counseling practices.
• Hospital Pharmacy: Observation at premier university hospitals such as Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) and Seoul St. Mary's Hospital.
• Industrial Pharmacy: Field trips to leading pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies including Samsung Biologics, Amorepacific, GC Biopharma, Chong Kun Dang, and Handok.
• Public Organizations: Visits to key regulatory and research bodies such as the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), National Forensic Service (NFS), and the International Vaccine Institute (IVI).
- Research Program
Participants are placed in a laboratory that alligns with their specific research interests to conduct in-depth studies in various pharmaceutical fields.
• Host Universities: Prestigious institutions including Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Chung-Ang University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Ewha Womans University.
• Research Fields: The program covers a wide range of pharmaceutical disciplines. Potential areas often include Pharmacology, Immunology, Drug Delivery, Toxicology, and Clinical Pharmacy. However, specific research topics and available laboratories vary annually depending on the participating professors.

2 to 4 weeks (Flexible Schedule: July - August)

Type accommodation
Participants are responsible for booking their own accomodation.
- Visiting Program
• Recommendation: We highly recommend staying near Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) for convenient access to meeting points.
• Estimated Cost: Approx. 30,000 - 60,000 KRW (approx. 20 - 45 EUR) per night.
- Research Program
• Policy may vary by host university.
• Some universities may provide access to on-campus dormitories, while others require participants to book off-campus accomodation (e.g., Hotel, Airbnb, or Guesthouse) near the university.
Board, pocket money or other financial benefits/remuneration
No salary or pocket money is provided.
Language requirements
• English: Mandatory. As all lectures, lab activities, and social events are conducted in English, participants must be capable of fluent communication.
• Korean: Optional. Not required, but basic Korean language skills are highly appreciated and will be helpful for daily life.
Information on Work Permits and Visa
• Visa Requirement: Most participants can enter Korea with a K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) or a Tourist Visa.
• Participants are responsible for checking the visa requirements for their specific nationality and obtaining the necessary documents.
• KNAPS will provide an Official Invitation Letter upon request to assist with the visa application process.
Selection Procedures
• Application Deadline: ‼️February 15th, 2026‼️
• Process: All applications are reviewed by the KNAPS SEO and the Student Exchange Committee.

∘ Key Criteria: 1) Strong motivation and genuine interest in Korean pharmacy and culture. 2) English proficiency for effective communication.
