Area possibilities
We are excited to offer two wonderful placement areas for our Summer SEP 2026. Each one gives you a different window into pharmacy in Indonesia.
- 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐲 at Rumah Sakit Universitas Indonesia (RSUI)
- 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 at Culture Cell Laboratory, Faculty of Pharmacy UI
Length of training periods
We invite you to spend three full weeks with us!
📅 Program dates: 𝟕 – 𝟐𝟔 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
🧪 Internship hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 15.00 (13 – 24 July)
🌴 Evenings & weekends: Reserved for cultural adventures, city explorations, and making memories with your SEP Buddies.
Available months and cities
Your exchange will take place in Depok and/or Jakarta, the bustling capital city of Indonesia as our campus is located in Depok, Jawa Barat while our social events will be held in Jakarta.
We are accepting applications for the Summer SEP only, as the exchange will be conducted in July. Expect a mix of university life, city energy, and Indonesian nature!
Type accommodation
We want you to feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed.
We are currently curating a list accommodation options that suit different budgets and preferences for you. We will share final details with accepted students at least a month or more before arrival. The SEO will also help you settle in and answer any questions.
Board, pocket money or other financial benefits/remuneration
As this is a cultural and professional exchange program, unfortunately, we are unable to provide financial remuneration or a stipend. Exchangers are responsible for covering their living and incidental costs. An estimated breakdown is provided below:
— Daily Needs (Food & Local Transport):~ 5 EUR / day
— Cultural Trips: To be updated.
— Local Trips in Depok/Jakarta: ~ 10 EUR
— Indonesian SIM Card: ~ 8 EUR
— Accommodation Fee: To be updated.
Language requirements
English. While not mandatory, learning basic Indonesian is highly encouraged and will greatly enrich your experience! Throughout your exchange, our team will guide you in English while teaching you practical Indonesian phrases. You might be surprised by how much you pick up!

Other requirements
— While the minimum is of 3rd semester (2nd-year student), we are pleased to welcome recently graduated students to apply as well.
— Required document: A signed letter of recommendation or permission from your Dean/Faculty.

Indonesia offers the following visa options for exchange purposes:
— Single-Entry Visitor Visa (B211A)
— Visa on Arrival (VoA) - Please check your country's eligibility

General Requirements:
1. Passport valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.
2. Return ticket or onward ticket to another country.

Note: BEM FF UI will support your visa process by providing the necessary official Invitation Letters. Please ensure you begin your visa application at least 1 month before your intended exchange date.
Selection Procedures
Our selection process is designed to be straightforward:
— Submit the required application form and documents.
— Applications will be reviewed by the Student Exchange Officer (SEO) on a rolling basis, prioritizing early applicants.
— While there is no strict deadline, we strongly encourage you to apply 2-3 months before the intended exchange period. Applications received within one month of the exchange start will still be processed, subject to availability.
