Back in the Heart the UK for the 50th Anniversary celebrations and the 45th Congress.
Congress delegates enjoyed a boat trip down the Thames (in the rain), an open top bus tour as well as an International evening to surpass all others!
DF Auction raised more than GBP 2000 with one T-shirt making more than GBP 180!!!!

44th IPSF Congress, Helsinki, Finland
18 - 25 August 1998
Originally this Congress was to be in Egypt, but following a bomb attack in Cairo early in 1998, the IPSF Executive made the difficult decision to cancel that Congress.
Finland offered to step in and organised a congress in only nine months.
For the first time a GA was held on a boat sailing in international (duty-free!) waters between Finland and Sweden.
Once back on dry land and recovering from 'land sickness', Congress continued in a town a few miles outside of Helsinki.

43rd IPSF Congress, Vancouver, Canada
16 - 26 August 1997
Vancouver - Spectacular by Nature! The Congress took place on the Campus of the University of British Columbia and participants were able to visit Vancouver and Grouse Mountain as well as relax on a boat trip around English Bay.
A Post Congress Tour took place to the Whistler Resort in the BC mountains.

42nd IPSF Congress, Hradec Králové, Czech Republic
13 - 23 August 1996
The town with the unpronounceable name is home to the School of pharmacy in the Czech Republic.
Congress participants enjoyed the first week of Congress in Hradec Králové before moving to Prague for the final three days which included a tense election and a Congress Ball in a beautiful ball house.

An IPSF Congress visits West Africa for the first time and becomes better known as the 'Chicken and Rice Congress' rather than the 'Tropical adventure with a taste of paradise'!
Of course there was the Opening Ceremony and Closing Dinner. In between the time was filled with sightseeing of Accra and the Cape Coast as well as the International Evening and Fancy Dress Party.
